Monika, is a powerful, operational leader, thanks to her vast experience management and sales within the beauty industry. Having moved to the UK from Lithuania when she was 19, Monika initially worked in department stores, whilst studying at the University of Arts London . With over a decade of experience, she is an expert in running large accounts, handling events, and managing teams.
However, Monika realised her passion lay elsewhere, upon stepping into franchising! Before joining Strip, she was Franchise Area Manager with another brand, supporting her network with several new business strategies, and ultimately helping her franchisees achieve full growth potential. So, when the time came for her to move on, Monika, who knew Strip had been steadily growing as a brand for almost two decades, was attracted to our well-established, and proven track record.
Evolving the brand Around seven years ago, when Monika joined Strip, we were undergoing a significant transformation. So, her strength and background in management, crucially guided the network through the transition and challenges. This expertise soon came to the fore again in 2020. “People often ask how we survived the pandemic, as many small businesses didn’t. We’re proud to be associated with a remarkable parent company who supported us so we could grow. We retained all our staff without any redundancies and, when we reopened, we took on new staff. The resilience and strength of Strip underpins who we are as a brand, resonating with our guests, who’d seen hair removal salons close.”
As a result, Monika hasn’t just seen Strip evolve into what it is today, but has played a vital role, which led to her, alongside Ella, being promoted in 2023. Together, they’re the perfect team to guide your Strip success, with Ella’s marketing skills, and Monika’s experiences in operations and training. “Last year, Ella and I were both promoted to Co-Managers. While I primarily focus on operational aspects of Strip, and play a significant role in training our franchisees, we work together on recruiting new franchise partners to the network; so, you’ll meet both of us along your way!”
Thanks to Monika’s understanding of the retail and beauty space, she and Ella are also committed to bringing in new products and collaborations to further your business success. Support by your side However, Monika’s main responsibilities are overseeing the operational side of Strip; her core mission being to make sure franchisees receive the best possible start with their business. “When franchisees take on a Strip Salon, they, and their team, will receive full, comprehensive training from us. Everyone, from therapists and hosts to you as the owner, will gain an understanding of how the business works inside and out, and clear knowledge of why we do what we do and how it’s made us so successful. I want you to feel confident about our business and methods, as if you’ve been in it with us from the start! And to feel confident carrying out any of our specialised hair removal treatments.”
