With a slogan like ‘pamper you puss’, it’s no surprise that the Strip founders are animal lovers. From dogs to donkeys there’s not a creature that doesn’t melt our hearts so this Christmas we’re asking our clients to help us with a cause that’s close to our hearts.
Danielle and Maria-Louise have always been passionate about helping animals, and over the years we have donated money to Brooke (which supports working donkeys and horses), the Soi Dog foundation (which helps dogs in Asia, in particular saving them from the dog meat trade), the RSPCA, Guide Dogs, World Animal Protection and Battersea Dogs Home. Danielle recently adopted her gorgeous Hungarian Vizsla from the charity Wild at Heart (which helps people to adopt stray or homeless dogs).
This weekend, Danielle spent most of her free time looking into a dog shelter in Romania call PS Botosani (you may have seen a few articles about it on Facebook). It is thought that this winter, many of the dogs there will freeze to death so we are asking for your help to keep them warm. We would be so grateful if anyone with old dog jackets or jumpers could drop them off at any one of the Strip Stores or put them in the post (See address below) and for every one donated we will match it with a new jacket. We will be flying Simon who is a member of the Strip team out to the PS Botosani Kennels to personally deliver all the dog jackets/jumpers and help get these poor dogs all wrapped up. We are also in the process of setting up a donation each month for straw bedding for the cages/kennels to keep them warm.
