- Shave the area being treated – Ideally day before the treatment, as shaving on theday can cause irritation
- No waxing, epilating or depilatory creams to be used. Remember- the hair needs to be in the follicle
- Apply only the Strip recommended before care, 5 days prior to your laser treatment and nothing on the day of treatment
- All fake tan must be removed two weeks prior to the treatment taking place
- Avoid applying any body oils 36 hours before treatment
- Avoid exercising the day of treatment as this can cause irritation
- Do not exfoliate on the day of treatment
- Inform the therapist / salon immediately if you have been on any medication since
your last treatment - Ensure any sun exposure is at least 6 weeks prior to treatment

- Avoid wearing any perfumed products in the treated area
- If you have treated the face, avoid wearing any make up

Who can have laser hair removal?

Why do I need to have a patch test for each area lasered?
Your skin sensitivity can differ in one area on your body to another. Client’s hairs can also differ in colour and thickness dependant on what area of the body. What do I need to do before my appointment for laser hair removal?
Before your patch test, you must ensure that there is hair growth in the area that is going to be looked at. Before your actual treatment, always shave the area about to be treated so it’s smooth and hair free.
Is our laser machine safe?
We use medical grade machines ONLY which are the best on the market.
Can I have laser if I have been on holiday?
So long as the area you wanted to have lasered has not been tanned or over exposed to sunlight then you can have the treatment. If skin is tanned then you will need to wait up to 6 weeks for the tan to fade before having a

What aftercare is required after having laser hair removal?
Aloe Vera Gel should be applied after hair removal treatment with SPF cream and to be used twice a day for 7 days post treatment.
For laser hair removal treatments, what do I need to do in between my sessions?
Between treatments do NOT wax or use depilatory creams, you can only shave in between sessions, if you must. This is because the wax and/or depilatory creams will have the opposite effect to what the laser is trying to achieve.
What should I avoid during my course of laser hair removal?
Avoid any exposure to the sun as this can cause pigmentation in your skin. Clients should always wear an SPF50 on
a day-to-day basis, even when the sun is not out. If you have any medication changes, it is important to update therapists as some medications can react to the laser treatment.
